Movember Reign

Image
Okay ... so I did my bit for MOVEMBER. You know - the month when every red blooded male gets to grow the biggest baddest tash in town? It's for a good cause - men's health. But it made me 'look far too serious'. Aparently. Should I shave or should i grow? too late. it's gone. :-)

The Final Countdown

Image
We took a trip to the local Greenpoint MacDonalds today. We heard that it is smack-bang in the middle of the Greenpoint Soccer Stadium project and is practically a hard-hat zone all by itself. Can you imagine how the owner must be holding on to his little piece of paradise. Come next year .... man oh man. Although we didn't need to wear hard hats i thought this countdown clock was interesting. Exactly one year ... do I see those project managers sweating? Or are they placing an order for BigMac?

I had loads of fun answering a few questions from the good folk at 10and5 . They made me realise: [1] I wouldn't trade my job for anything [2] I'm getting, well, old. check it out here . Tip 'o the bowler hat to Uno for his sharp questions.

8 incredible years

Image
I've been married 8 years today. 8 incredible years. It doesn't feel like 8 years ... sometimes it feels much much shorter, and at other times it feels like it's all i've known. Strange. But one thing is certain: it's great to be eight. (*pic taken whilst on a family mountain walk in Glencairn)

Disney Star Wars weekend posters

Since no-one really reads this blog, except maybe for my friends eatmorecrayons and RAT, I've kept my sign up target relatively low.

Saving Face.

Okay. So Facebook has saved faced. I've recently connected with an old friend who was instrumental in my varsity studies and overseas travel. We haven't been in contact for almost 7 years. And yet ... when I logged in .. there he was! Yes! Of course I want to confirm him as a friend. Hell I didn't know what happened to him. Fantastic!. Pity he is in Australia now. Man I would have loved to share a draft at the local. But after all these years we back in touch. Facebook - I forgive all those ridiculous application requests.
